ZFS is one of the most advanced file systems nowadays and it outperforms any other file system when it comes to speed, performance and stability. The speed at which data is processed on a server employing ZFS is a lot higher, so not only will any websites hosted on the machine be read and executed much faster, but also backups can be generated more quickly and with greater frequency without affecting the overall performance. Additionally, ZFS uses checksums - digital algorithms that are used to recognize corrupted files. Anytime the file system identifies that there's an issue with a specific file, it repairs it using a good copy from another disk drive within the RAID. Both the checks and the repairs are performed instantly, so the information located on ZFS-based machines will be safe at all times as it practically cannot get corrupted. Another advantage of ZFS over other file systems is that there is no limit for the total amount of files which may be saved in a single account or on the server as a whole.
